This kind of shit is why I fucking love this show. Because the bad guys got fucking wrecked. Too many shows and books and movies are just the protags getting stomped on for a hundred hours and then maybe after that something bad will happen to the actual monsters, but it’s rarely proportional to the harm they caused. This show though was just like, yeah, two episodes after this dude did some unspeakable evil shit he gets his ass torn out his throat by demons, but not before they pause to point out that everything he did was monstrous and wrong. Castlevania on Netflix is a Good Fuckin’ Show

“This is an empty box” and “Your god’s love is not unconditional” are honestly some of the rawest lines I’ve ever heard in fiction.
